At Motherboard, we're committed to continually improving the benefits access and management experience via our platform. You’ve spoken and we’ve listened. We’re thrilled to introduce new features designed to decrease the burden of benefits management for HR professionals and improve access to benefits for Nigerian employees.
We’ve added two new features to make benefits disbursement easier for employers and HR professionals.
We understand that companies can have various levels of employees, from the technical wizards to the less tech-savvy employees. We want all your employees to be able to enjoy their benefits via Motherboard, no matter their level of technical literacy.
That’s why we’ve added the ability for you to purchase benefits from specific providers on behalf of your employees. For example, you can select a specific health plan for all or some of your employees, rather than have them select one themselves.
This feature is also great for HR professionals who might want to give one-off benefits from specific providers as a way to reward employees for great performance. For example, rather than assigning an Adventure & Experience benefit, you can gift employees a voucher from Filmhouse Cinemas specifically.
Before now, you could invite your employees via email or via invite link. Now, we’ve added two new employee onboarding options to further streamline the invite process for you.
You can add employees manually and individually by entering their essential details – first name, last name, phone number, and email address. We’ll take it up from there.
Alternatively, you can bulk upload multiple employees to Motherboard via CSV. All you have to do is download our CSV template, fill in your employee details, and upload your CSV to the platform.
Employees aren’t left out. We have also added new features to improve benefits access and managements for employees on the platform.
Employees on Motherboard can now manage their subscriptions directly on Motherboard via the “Accounts” page. This means employees can cancel from providers they are no longer interested in to prevent automatic renewal.
If an employee wishes to switch providers at any point, all they need to do is navigate to the “Accounts” page, cancel their subscription to the current provider, and select a new provider that better suits them.
Finding the right health insurance provider is now simpler with our enhanced filtering system. You can narrow down your options by payment frequency if you want to, for instance, only see HMOs with monthly plans. You can also filter by price to let you see HMOs with plans within a specific price range.
We’ve made it easier for employees to get access to support from their HMOs. Employees can now find the customer service number for their chosen HMOs from the health plan overview page.
If you encounter any issues accessing your HMO or have any questions, all you have to do is head over to your dashboard and give your support agent a call for assistance.
